New Engineer, Jess Valler, Supports Manufacturing Design Team

Design-savvy engineer to support company’s manufacturing processes

TACOMA, Wash., January _, 2013 – General Plastics Manufacturing Company today announced that it has hired Jess Valler as its new manufacturing engineer. He brings 18 years of engineering experience in multiple roles and industries to the polyurethane foam products innovator. In this role, he will be responsible for optimizing the quality of General Plastics’ products and the efficiencies of its operations.

Valler’s manufacturing, design and project management skills will enhance and extend General Plastics’ highly respected manufacturing processes to accelerate creation of new products for the aerospace industry and other commercial markets. In particular, he will focus on making modifications to existing processes and equipment, as well as designing new ones as the company continues to grow.

“We are pleased to welcome Jess Valler to the General Plastics team, where his talents and experience will continue our 70-year tradition of excellence in developing and manufacturing products that satisfy our customers’ demanding requirements,” said President Bruce Lind.

Valler came to General Plastics from Tacoma-based Milgard Manufacturing Inc., where he worked as a design engineer in the new-product development group. The “Closure Frame Corner Joint” he co-invented at Milgard Manufacturing was awarded a U.S. Patent in 2010. He previously worked for Rogers Machinery and Thermo King Corporation.
