Affordable, versatile marine foams outperform wood

If you're responsible for specifying or procuring advanced materials for marine manufacturing, you have to stay current on the latest innovations and top performers. We invite you to explore General Plastics' proven products and capabilities, and see why we're the first choice of leading industry OEMs.

General Plastics' TR-Marine Foam Series foams allow builders of recreational watercraft and yachts to replace wood components with top-quality, non-decaying marine polyurethane products for laminated fiberglass composite structures. Because they do not absorb water, our products do not rot warp, bow or delaminate. Ideal for transoms, these products are also used for everything from bait wells and bulkheads to decks and doors. They insulate freezers, serve as I/O motor mounts and seat mounting pads, and ably handle many interior applications.

Our R-3300 submersible polyurethane foams satisfy multiple underwater flotation applications. These subsea buoyancy products include hydrostatic pressure-resistant foam capable of providing permanent flotation in semi-deep submersible craft. They have been tested to depths of 1,000 ft. and are highly resistant to saltwater and other liquids. They are also highly machinable.

Tough and grain-free, LAST-A-FOAM® Tooling Board Series foams are a superb choice for tooling to manufacture boat hulls. They machine beautifully, support large-scale molds, and retain their strength, dimensional stability and chemical properties for years to come.

At General Plastics, you'll also find exceptional quality, technical expertise and genuinely helpful service to meet your most exacting requirements. Give us a call if you need assistance with product selection, a specific application, or even a custom sample.
