LAST-A-FOAMŪ EF-4000 flexible high-density polyurethane foams are formulated to absorb large amounts of energy while protecting payloads from high stress levels. These polyether formulations exhibit great durability and resistance to environmental factors while maintaining consistent performance. LAST-A-FOAMŪ EF-4000 foams are available in several types and densities, many of them relatively flame-resistant.

LAST-A-FOAMŪ EF-4000-series is available in 3 to 5 lbs/cubic foot density. Each of these foams demonstrate relatively "flat" load-deflection curves, which means they absorb energy while exposing delicate parts to consistent lower-level stresses.

In aerospace applications LAST-A-FOAMŪ EF-4000 and TF-5070 have both been used extensively as "spring-damper" shock isolation systems to protect missiles in underground silos and nuclear submarine launch tubes. Minuteman, Peacekeeper, and Trident programs all have used these foams.

In construction applications, EF-4000 and TF-5070 foams have been used as Shock isolation systems for earthquake-prone buildings and vibration-damper pads for mechanical equipment.
