Extremely durable and relatively unharmed by environmental factors, both of these foam series are formulated to absorb significant energy while protecting payloads, such as missiles and nuclear submarine launch tubes. In construction, they are used as shock-isolation systems for earthquake-prone buildings. Other applications include shock mounts and pads for delicate equipment in shipping containers, and vibration damper pads for mechanical equipment. Also available in sheets and blocks.
Multipurpose seal and filler used within the aerospace industry. FOAM-COMB consists of flexible-foam-filled Nomex® honeycomb material. Lightweight and rigid in one direction yet flexible in the other, it is ideal for interior trim parts, and areas that require noise reduction.
These flame-retardant, durable, self-skinning foams are used extensively in aircraft flight decks and cabin applications. The softer, more pliable LAST-A-FOAM® WSF-1010 Series is ideal for interior gap seals where aesthetics are important. Airframe manufacturers use the harder, more durable LAST-A-FOAM® WSF-1121 Series for molded and fabricated flight-deck padding and aircraft interior parts. Both materials are self-extinguishing and can be custom-molded to each client’s exacting specification.
