An FR-7100 Rigid Polyurethane Foam Application
Product Designer Roman Kashalapov's "Voll Action Figure" is crafted using General Plastics Manufacturing Co.'s LAST-A-FOAM® FR-7108 model and prototype foam.
Kashalapov's figure, a creation crafted in the style of a mythic Greek "satyr", was hand-carved and painted as a new-product concept.
The excellent carving and finishing properties of LAST-A-FOAM® FR-7100 in densities under 10-lbs. per cubic foot gave stunning results in this project, allowing the rendering of fine details and smooth surfaces.
There is no visual evidence this figure is made of foam. The easy shaping and bonding of the material allowed the incorporation of other materials (chain) in the final rendition, as well as movable joints.
