An FR-7100 Rigid Polyurethane Foam Application
Highly-accurate topographical models and maps were created out of General Plastic’s LAST-A-FOAM® FR-7100 by Solid Terrain Models (STM) of Fillmore, CA. These models and maps are widely considered to be the best available.
STM enjoys the consistent cell-structure and density of the FR-7100 products, which makes cutting their models with CNC routers simple and accurate. FR-7100’s fine small cells allow easy paint finishing of completed models, and the dimensional stability of sheets keep models flat and true.
Several examples of STM’s work can be seen in the Hall of Explorers at the National Geographic Society’s Washington, D.C. headquarters.
